The readings on this device are extremely far off compared a known good calibrated microphone. We're talking 10-20dB depending on the weighting and noise level. I don't expect it to be super accurate at this price point, but this is just unacceptable.

Purchased to take time weighted noise measurements in workplace.The manual was written in Google-translate. There is no way to disable the low and high alarms, so even with noise alarm limits set a max (30 and 130 dB) the device alarms/beeps whenever ambient noise drops below 30 dB. Haven't used it too long, but appears to be a battery hog.Notwithstanding the foregoing, if you're looking for a cost-effective way to get ambient noise readings, this unit is the best value. Just plan on using some time to familiarize and training yourself on the unit's use.
