Eventually I'll use the camera for snorkelling/free diving here at home and in Hawaii. For the time being, I'm using it to capture hummingbirds at my feeder. That's why the 720p @ 240fps slow motion is such a plus! Be aware that older computers like mine may not have the processing speed, RAM or Video card capabilities for playback of the higher resolution videos. Playback is choppy and distorted. My computer can play the 720p @ 240fps slow motion but can't play 1080p, 2K or 4K. 1st an Akaso rep recommended recording with H.265 encoding (camera default is H.264). File sizes in H.265 are much smaller but my computer still couldn't play the videos properly. Another helpful rep from Akaso said the minimum PC requirements are a Core i5 and 2 GB Discrete Graphics. For Mac, it's at least MacBook Pro. For Ipad, it's at least IPAD PRO.I just got a Samsung Galaxy S9, which I anticipate will be able to play the videos - might also get a used PC with the necessary requirements.PROS- camera and waterproof housing feel well built. I've take it snorkeling and it works perfectly.- lots of features and recording modes.- Bluetooth remote control to start and stop recording is a great bonus. So far I've used it about 10 feet from the camera and it works quite well.- Love the dual battery charger.- with video encoder set at h.265 (easy to do through settings menu) the file sizes are small and transfer quickly to my phone via wifi.CONS- not fault of the camera but for 720p 240fps slow motion I have to convert the .mov files to .mp4 for them to play smoothly on my Galaxy s9. No biggie - just install a free video converter app.- the remote tends to lose it's connection to the camera sometimes, even at close proximity. Also, remote goes thru its CR1632 batteries fairly quickly, so keep extras on hand.- camera occasionally freeze when connected through wifi, and can only be unfrozen by removing battery.- content can not be played back on older PCs.- some menus/features can only be accessed using the touchscreen, meaning you can't access them using the buttons while the camera is in its waterproof housing.Overall an excellent camera. I look forward to playing with it more!

It's a great little camera I took it snorkeling and diving in Belize. We loved it, as you can see the pictures it takes are great I uploaded 2 a seven foot nurse shark we swam with and some beautiful Elkhorn coral. If I had to comment on anything I would agree with what I read in some reviews that the touch screen responds a bit slowely but it was not a problem really. So it wasn't snappy but who cares it was less than 200 dollars for 4k stabilized video and pictures comes with a waterproof case and a ridiculous amount of mounts and connectors. I didn't buy it for the touch screen most of the time I used the buttons. I never used the app (since I bought it for diving mostly) so i can't somment on it or the remote since I handheld it but the underwater case and camera functioned beautifully.

If you're the type who refuses to pay a whole lot more for a big name with maybe a little bit better performance, then this unit might be a valid candidate for your short list. The Good:1. Very good quality video, pics, audio for the price point2. Solid quality build3. Comes nicely packaged with a lot of useful accessories, water case, 2 batteries and a charger4. EIS actually works (but only for 30 fps video resolutions)5. The "Turn off Camera" voice command (only) is a useful feature6. BT- remote works well even from about 10 feet awayThe Not so Good:1. When switching from Video to Photo, the EIS feature is turned off and we need to remember to turn it back on again with about 4 button pushes to video again.2. The Date Stamp is turned off whenever any type of setting is made and must be turned back on again if relevant to you ... sometimes even the Date Setting itself does not hold even with a quick battery change or just mysteriously3. The Phone App works on IOS but not Android ... but App is not particularly useful anyways4. Pushing some setup buttons tends to lock the unit up and requires a reset to reset your preferences again5. Having 4K60fps is pretty useless without EIS on an Action Camera (OK on a tripod only)The Irrelevant:1. 3 of 4 voice commands are useless ... so I don't use 'em2. Low light videos and photos are not good at all especially if you plan to mountain climb or bike or underwater in the dark. But chances are you will die before the camera, so the camera wins againI only wanted to deduct 1/2 Star for the quirks so far, but I guess I gotta round up

I bought this because of the vast number of attachments that came with it and the 4K resolution it comes with. Keeping in mind that it only works well on a bright day, it's a a nice camera with lots of features. There is virtually no input delay for the touch screen, connecting it to Wi-Fi and link it to your phone is easy, and swabbing attachments is simple.

I bought this camera as a replacement camera for my partner who lost his Akaso Brave 4 (also a great camera). I was able to purchase it with a coupon, which seems to hapeen quite frequently and makes it a great deal. He uses it while riding his motorcycle so has been using it for the last month or so non-stop and so far he loves it! The image stabilization works amazing, even while riding around on the bumpy, pothole-ridden roads of Toronto. The picture quality is beyond what we both expected, the 4K is fantasic but does take up a lot of space on the micro SD card - fortunately, the 1800fps is still great quality so 4K isn't even really necessary. A friend of ours checked out the footage and said that are comparable to what he shoots on his GoPro as well. The camera also came with a bunch of accessories, including a mount which he used on his helmet - they all seem to be great quality and is holding up well so far. The only downside so far are that the image stabilization does not work well at nighttime or in lowlight for him. Overall, for what you pay you can't beat the quality and performance of this camera! Why buy a GoPro or similar higher-end action camera when you can spend less than half, and get nearly the same performance and quality?
